KICKING

Postby garyajaz on Feb 12th, 2010, 6:33 pm

you all have heard of dead man walking..
i am old man kicking....

shit howdy....riding the sporty is fun....starting it isnt...
had a little race today...my sporty vs my buell
sporty kicked its ASS. so i want to ride it more...
just the near heart attack every start is no fun....

rechecked ign today. seems new points block wore a bit closing points to 12 tho instead of 18. re adjusted and still hard to start. lots of compression and such.

i cant put in releases cause head is full of valves...lol...
thinking of electronic single fire ignition....
$$$$$ but if KNOWN to start easier will buy one....anybody converted to elect box vs points and see much easier starting??

or should i just hire a 30 year old weight lifter to follow me around and kick it f  or me

Actually they say that electronic is easier starting when kicking but I don't know first hand. Something I did think about is what about the compression releases that go in between the spark plug and the head?
You don't have to be crazy to be like me but it sure the phuck helps!!

yes, i thought of that today also...
i have heard many bad things of them...electrode sits farther back...possible detonation problems.
they known to plug up and such...am not opposed to cleaning often...

but i shall look into them right now on putor...

this time i even filled it up with regular gas instead of high octain....knowing lower octain ignites quicker....anything to get it to start.....
at 60 mph when whack throttle front wheel gets light and back tire wants to break loose....
damn this thing is fun.....the lack of breath and stuff on starting isnt...

know any 30 year old weight lifters for rent?? hell i would even let him ride my other bike to follow me around

HOLY GUANO BATMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!
spark plug comp releases

only company (i reaserched) that made them was spyke.....
they stopped making them cause total failure.
afer reading about 12 pages of people hating them and they hurting heads and stuff i will opt for hireing a weight lifter...and it will probably be cheaper.

if they were 30 or so bucks each i would try them....
but NO. they $285 EACH. must run special $22 spark plugs...they are alum and do everything from melt to blow out to missfire and all sorta bad things...
have to index perfect. at 14 lbs torque. if not right get to buy more of them till things line up..also for long reach only unless buy a $$$$adaptor...

oh, and they require electronic igniton and special high output coil..
on and on....
